About
I’m Christine Lin, a maker with a focus in ceramics. cvl comes from my initials. It is also the nickname my college friends called me, which followed me through my years working in tech. Now, I bring it forward into this new chapter of creating physical objects with my hands.
What draws me to ceramics is the process: the rhythm of the wheel, the repetition, the quiet focus. Over the past few years, I’ve been deep in technique. I throw off the hump, experiment with firing styles, mix glazes, and refine forms. It’s an ongoing exploration of craft, iteration, and improvement.
Much of my work is made with small moments in mind: the pause before a first sip, the comfort of a familiar bowl, the tiny rituals that ground a day. As a parent of young kids, those moments feel especially precious. My children use my ceramics daily, which is the greatest reminder of why I make: to bring a bit of calm, care, and presence into everyday life.
